Binding

There are a variety of binding options available for your printed material. We can assist in recommending the best binding method for your print job and will briefly touch on a few options available.

Staple Binding – Ideal for booklets with a small number of pages where the booklet is stapled along the crease of the fold.
Perfect Binding – This binding method resembles a paperback book or magazine.
Wire-O Binding – A twin loop wire bind is inserted into a series of small holes inserted in the document.
Screw Binding – A simple binding method where punched or drilled documents are held together by a post binding screw threaded through the hole and fastened.

Lamination

Lamination is a finishing option that is available in both gloss and matt options. It offers a professionally look and feel to the finished product by adhering a thin sheet of film using heat and pressure. It tends to add depth to the colours and is a popular option for business cards and brochures and ideal for offset printed jobs.

Spot UV

Spot UV refers to the application of this UV Coating to a specific area (or areas) of a printed piece rather than coating the entire surface. Used primarily as a design technique, Spot UV is a creative way to add depth and contrast through varying levels of sheen and texture.

Creasing

Creasing is the process of which a document or piece of paper is creased using a professional machine, to create a clean, consistent and professional fold in a document. It creates a line that reduces paper stiffness and aids the folding process.

Die cutting

Die-cutting is the process of cutting a piece of paper or material to a custom shape and size. It is cut on special machinery and creates a consistent and very specific cut. Typically used for presentation folders, business cards, boxes and speciality shapes for brochures the options are extensive depending on your project.

Embossing

Embossing is creating an impression or imprint on the service of paper or card stock in the shape or form of a design, decoration, pattern or logo. It raises the surface of the finished product, creating an elegant, professional look and feel.

Folding

There are a variety of folds available for printed materials and we will touch briefly on them here today. Hot Stamping

Perforating
